Our Southern Friends- Are you Pissed about the Oil Spill? I Know I Am ...... !

......... and i live out here in northern california !

i mean , they go to all that humungous labor, build a huge box to put over the oil gushing out and wham 5,000 ft. deep it gets clogged with ice crystals.

now they are talking about a couple other alternatives in the news- all the while today haliburton, bp, and other reps are meeting with federal officials getting into a pissing match and fight over who is responsible for the spill ?

Thanks for all the takes and comments ! It seems most here are aware of the enormous dangers this spill has caused , some might not care because it isn't happening in THEIR OWN geographical location . I call that small mindedness and lack of human empathy.

Not the reason I'm not concerned. My lack of concern stems from the fact that tragedies happen every day, and we move on with life. Getting pissed off over a little spilled oil is not going to do anyone any good. Buying into the hype that this is some kind of unprecedented disaster won't help either. Here's what I'm confident of:

steps will be taken to adress this happening in the future, because first and foremost, oil companies do not want to lose money on this sort of thing
clean up will be done, and we will adapt

And that, my friends, is really all that matters.
